The game itself is pretty much the same as it is in bars– you can play by yourself or with up to four players in stroke or tournament modes. It even has the familiar trackball that is used to do all sorts of things in the game, from club selection to hook, draw, and fade effects. One cool thing is the included Golden Tee Ambassador Card, this card stores all of your scores and can track your game progress. The idea is that you’ll take this card with you to bars and slide it into the Golden Tee machine there and continue your games there. It’s pretty much a memory card specifically for Golden Tee machines. And it’s not just special machines, all coin-operated machines will have a spot for your card. The poor man’s Golden Tee only requires a television with the basic video and audio inputs (yellow and white) and a few AA batteries. Get yours for $60. The graphics are awful – there is no vioce to say “wow” when you make that great shot. Heck, even the controls are clunky. I busted it out at a party and we all ended up playing Golden Tee on the M.A.M.E. emulator. Looking on the bright side maybe I can hack it into a controller for M.A.M.E. My best friend and I have spent numerous hours playing video game golf, and were very excited to be able to use the trackball, but it just doesn’t measure up. I bought my Golden Tee game (Big Electronics Game and/or My Big Games) brand new. It worked for 2 wks then broke. I’ve tried for almost 5 months to get the company to do something about it and they wont. They wont even return any communication. Do NOT buy!! Im out the money and now have this piece of junk cluttering my house. Worst product ever and terrible company to work with.
